The Nostell Estate Celebrates Lib Pennock’s Retirement

Lord St Oswald and members of The Nostell Estate team came together at the business park’s social hub, Meridian, to celebrate the retirement of long-term employee, Lib Pennock.

Lib joined the East Newton accounting department as a bookkeeper in 2005 from the finance team of Wetherby Racecourse. The Nostell Estate accounts office has certainly kept her busy, completing accounts for the entire estate, including the business park and agricultural business.

Originally working full-time, Lib has reduced her hours leading up to her retirement. Over the years, her role has included looking after bank reconciliations, the family farm books, and petty cash.

Lib has many interests outside of work, and she is looking forward to pursuing them from next month! Lib is looking forward to spending more time with family – particularly her four grandchildren.

She also loves gardening, baking, photography, reading and walking, and she participates in clubs on some of these subjects.

A farmer’s daughter from Kilburn (home of the Mouseman of Kilburn and the Kilburn White Horse), Lib also loves going to the cinema, for meals and on holiday.

She and her husband of over 40 years, Pete (a recently retired joiner), have a fantastic retirement trip to Canada booked in early 2023.

Office Manager Hayley Copley at The Nostell Estate added: “Lib is such a fun-loving bubbly character with quite the sense of humour. We’ll miss having her around East Newton – maybe not so much her spontaneous out-of-key singing – but we are also very happy for her and wish her all the best in her retirement. We know she’ll make the most of it while hopefully enjoying a few glasses of prosecco and gin along the way!”

The whole Nostell Estate team’s heartfelt thanks and congratulations go out to Lib. Happy Retirement, and enjoy your holiday!
