The Nostell Estate celebrates the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee
On Wednesday 1st June, the Nostell Estate joined nationwide celebrations of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee by planting an oak tree at the estate.
Estate owner The Lord St Oswald planted the tree, which forms part of the ‘Queen’s Green Canopy’ a country-wide initiative. Following the planting, residential and commercial tenants on the estate stayed for an afternoon tea, to celebrate Her Majesty’s 70 years of service.
The Lord St Oswald, comments:
“In my role as custodian of this remarkable estate, it is my responsibility to ensure its future is sustainable. Therefore, I am thrilled that this celebration of Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee also creates an opportunity to contribute to the diversity of the flora and fauna here at the Nostell Estate. I very much look forward to marking the occasion with our tenants this June.”
