Nostell’s Jack Dunwell gets the chop for charity

Published: 28.03.23 | by Peter Molyneux, Estate Director | 2 minute read

Maintenance Apprentice Jack Dunwell goes under the clippers to raise money for independent charity, Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

If you’re a The Nostell Estate tenant, you’ll be familiar with Jack’s curly locks. If you’re not, trust us, Jack had a great head of hair.

We say ‘had’ because Jack went under the clippers on Monday, 27th March 2023, to raise funds for Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA).

Jack smashed his original total of £500, raising £887! There’s still time to boost his Big Shave tally on his Go Fund Me page.

Working at The Nostell Estate means being connected with lots of businesses, and Yorkshire Air Ambulance is one of them. It seems only right to give my earnings to them in support of the amazing work they do. I think everyone else was sadder to see my hair go than me! Thanks to everyone who donated!

Jack’s mum, Karen Chatterton, kindly put together a raffle hamper, raising more funds for Jack’s cause. The hamper raised £156, giving Jack an overall total of over £1000 to donate to the charity.

We’re sure you’ll agree this is an incredibly generous effort from them! Well done, Jack.

Yorkshire Air Ambulance is an independent charity that relies heavily on the generosity of the public and organisations to keep the service active. The charity provides a life-saving rapid response emergency service to 5 million people across Yorkshire. If you’d like to donate, please visit the YAA website.
