The Nostell Estate Summer Party 2026

Another Fantastic Evening at Nostell Estate
Our annual summer party returned to Nostell Estate, bringing together our tenants, businesses, colleagues and friends for another brilliant evening.
After plenty of planning and preparation, and one rather heavy downpour earlier in the day, everything came together just in time. In fact, as has become something of a tradition, Gayle even managed to get the weather organised, with the clouds clearing and the sun making a very welcome appearance as our guests arrived.
What followed was an evening of fantastic food, live music, entertainment and plenty of opportunities to catch up with familiar faces from across the Estate.
Getting Everything Ready
Preparations for the summer party start long before the first guest walks through the door, and Gayle had once again been busy planning this year’s event well in advance.
On the day itself, the wider Estate team got stuck in too, preparing the grounds, setting everything up and making sure the finishing touches were in place.
The earlier rain certainly gave everyone something else to contend with, but thankfully it didn’t last. By the time the party got going, the sun was out, and the Estate was ready for the evening ahead.
A huge thank you goes to Gayle and everyone from the team who helped with the planning, preparation and the inevitable jobs that crop up along the way.
Plenty of Fish and Chips
Nobody was going home hungry this year.
Guests were treated to fish and chips from Millers, with portions best described as extremely generous. There was certainly plenty to go around, and the food proved a big hit throughout the evening.
Sue’s Ices also joined us for the evening, giving everyone the chance to enjoy an ice cream in the sun.
The Munchkin bar, supplied by Wakefield Hospice, was kept busy too, with beer, wine and soft drinks provided by the Estate for guests to enjoy as they relaxed and caught up with one another.
Live Music and a Little Magic
We were lucky enough to have some fantastic live music during the evening, with performances from Ray Walton and Holly Tandy, as well as a welcome return to Nostell for Hollie Wild following her performance at last year’s summer party.
Hollie joined Ray for a number of duets and supported his set, before Holly Tandy took to the stage for another superb performance.
Countryside Events provided the marquee covering the musicians, which had looked particularly important during the earlier downpour but thankfully became more of a precaution once the sun came out.
Away from the music, our magician, Matt Cope, spent the evening moving between guests and performing some genuinely baffling tricks. More than a few puzzled faces appeared as people tried to work out exactly how he did it.
Between the music, magic, food and drink, there was plenty happening throughout the evening and a brilliant atmosphere from start to finish.
Words from Lord St Oswald
Lord St Oswald took the opportunity to welcome everyone to the Estate and thank our tenants and guests for joining us.
He spoke warmly about the businesses based at Nostell and how pleasing it is to see people doing well, growing their businesses and continuing to build their future here.
He also thanked those who had helped make the evening possible before encouraging everyone to enjoy the rest of the party.
A Brilliant Night at Nostell
More than anything, the summer party is an opportunity to bring people together.
It was fantastic to see tenants and teams from businesses across the Estate relaxing, chatting and enjoying the evening, alongside members of the Estate team and other guests.
A vibrant atmosphere filled the night, helped along by excellent performances, an apparently endless supply of fish and chips, ice creams and, thankfully, much better weather than we had been looking at just a few hours earlier.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this year’s summer party such an enjoyable occasion. We hope you had as much fun as we did.
And, of course, thank you once again to Gayle and the Estate team for making it all happen.
We’re already looking forward to the next one!
