The Nostell Estate Sees The Summer Out in Style

Published: 07.10.22 | by Peter Molyneux, Estate Director | 2 minute read

On 16th September 2022, The Nostell Estate Business Park tenants came together to celebrate the changing seasons at an end-of-summer event.

The event was a roaring success – and that wasn’t just down to The Pizza Trail’s wood-fired ovens. Tenants were treated to pizza, charcuterie, and seasonal salads by the traditional Italian-style pizza crew.

Drinks were served by the estate’s very own maintenance man, Rodney Weaver, directly from the Wakefield Hospice Munchkin. The Munchkin is a purposefully renovated horse trailer available for private hire (in various formats) for local functions.

Since the nation was in a period of mourning for Her Majesty The Queen, a one-minute silence was held, led by Lord St Oswald, after which guests were encouraged to celebrate her life.

Like many businesses holding events during this period, we thought long and hard about whether it should go ahead. The low-key nature of the event proved to be a respectful celebration of the life of a truly remarkable lady. I’m glad we came together as a business community to commemorate such a historically significant event and reflect on our late queen’s decades of duty and service.

Vocalist Nandie Zvimba provided music for the evening with Philani Neube on the saxophone.

And for those wishing to partake in a little dessert, Meridian’s Victoria O’Keeffe was on hand with plenty of delicious cake!

Thank you to everyone who attended, and to Peter Molyneux and Gayle Summers for organising the event. We look forward to welcoming you to the next one – in the meantime, keep up to date with estate news on our LinkedIn page.
