Train2Train: Supporting Nostell Estate Businesses
Train2Train is a leading training provider based right here on the Nostell Estate, in the rear walled garden. Here in the estate office, we’ve benefited from their expertise and training as we recently undertook their first aid course. Becky Ashley, CEO at Train2Train, believes they have a lot to offer all the businesses here, not just in saving lives, but in saving businesses recovering from the Covid-19 pandemic. In this guest article, Becky shares a heads up on an important government apprentice scheme granting up to £3000 if you apply before January 2021, and how Train2Train can support you to do that.
Get up to £3,000 when you hire a new apprentice
Have you considered an Apprentice for your business?
Hiring an apprentice is a productive and effective way to grow talent and develop a motivated, skilled, and qualified workforce. Apprentices are motivated to learn new skills and you can adapt their training according to the needs of your business. What’s more, an apprenticeship scheme is a great way of expanding and upskilling your workforce.
The government announced significant financial support to help employers hire new apprentices. It’s part of their ‘Plan for Jobs’ initiative to help kickstart the nation’s economic recovery. You could get paid up to £2,000 for each new apprentice you hire.
If you hire a new apprentice before the 31st January 2021, you can apply for funding.
For apprentices aged: –
- 16 to 24, you will receive £2,000
- 25 and over, you will receive £1,500
The payment is in addition to the existing £1,000 that employers already get for taking on an apprentice who is: –
- Aged 16 to 18 years old
- Under 25 and has an education, health and care plan or has been in the care of their local authority
This means that organisations of any size can receive up to £3,000 for hiring a 16 to 18-year-old if they enrol before the end of January 2021. To receive the apprenticeship incentives, you need the apprenticeship service (digital account), as all claims need to be made through this service. You will receive incentive payments in two equal instalments at day 90 and day 365 of the apprenticeship.
